5 Guilt Free Self-Care Tips!

I remember the day I saw these words… “Everything produces after its own kind.”

It was a wake-up moment because it dawned on me that what we see on the outside is as a result of what is going on inside.

As a Creative … I am intentional about what I create and share with the World, and I pay even closer attention to what I allow into my space. I guard my heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life.

Self-Care is often seen as being Selfish, but I beg to differ because you can’t give what you don’t have.

While Selfish can be described as one who lacks consideration for other people. Self-care is the practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness.

In simple terms, it’s been mindful of your own needs, so you are better able to support the people you care about.

I believe it’s time we make SELF-CARE a PRIORITY!

Here are 5 Guilt Free Self-Care tips and I hope it inspires you to take care of YOU …

  • Know that you are the most important person.

Imagine a person filled with anger, bitter emotions and all sorts of negative emotions serving you a delicious meal. Your first impression would be to not touch the meal cos you are not even sure what happened before the meal got to you. Why then do you think it’s okay to serve others when you may have toxins on your inside… Today is a good day to start the practice of choosing you first and filling up your cup so you serve from a place of wholeness.

  • Know that it’s okay to say NO!

This has destroyed so many people and it breaks my heart to see people say yes to everything because they don’t want to offend others. Make yourself a priority and enjoy a healthier life.

  • Know that you are deserving.

What do you think about you? Do you know how amazing you are? Do you know how brilliant you are? I can’t even imagine anyone more deserving of self-care moments than YOU! Embrace it and OWN it!

  • Practice Gratitude daily

A merry heart does good like medicine. Look around you and tell me, what are you grateful for? There is so much to be thankful for and one of the ways to take better care of you is to take time out daily to practice gratitude.

  • Drink more Water…

One of the benefits of drinking water is that enables you flush the toxins out of your system. Take a moment to evaluate yourself…Do you feel there is a buildup of toxins that need to be cleared out? I cannot imagine a better way to start your day by getting rid of all the toxins.

 So, grab that glass of water and drink up. It’s time to feel rejuvenated as you go about making a difference in the World.
